Johanna Johnson Luxor Collection { For the Bride }

Johanna Johnson showcased her breathtakingly beautiful Spring Summer 2012/2013 collection last month during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Australia. I was fortunate enough to be invited to preview her show, amped up with much high fashion glamor.

This year Johanna Johnson was honored at MBFWA by being selected for the Mercedes-Benz Presents Show (MBPS). Each season, Mercedes-Benz chooses a designer who showcases extreme talent and dedication to their creations, through a combination of the use of quality materials, unique and innovative design, and style. The designer that they believe translates these traits is then chosen for the special showcase. This is the first year the MBPS has featured in Australian Fashion week, and they couldn't of picked any designer more suited than Johanna Johnson to showcase. She's well known for her Hollywood glamor and when she is not dressing the stars of the Red carpet, she is the envy of any bride-to-be with her alluring and elegant couture bridal collections. Her vintage designs are mixed with luxurious liquid silk fabrics bedazzled with drops of crystal head pieces and cinched waistlines to accentuate a feminine figure.

Her Luxor collection translated 1930's glam featuring shimmery sequined asymmetric bias cut gowns  to beautifully capture goddess-like movement wooing the fashion week audience. And the details to die for, perfectly added to make each gown more glamorous and desirable that the next, long trains, deep v-backs in gold, black and silver hues adorned with intricate glitzy embellishments of crystals and feathers

The accessories accompanying the dresses gave a vintage yet modern look that quintessentially channeled flapper girl and Cleopatra crystal headwear and beautifully crafted heirloom pieces. With wedding season well and truly here, it has definitely set the bar high in finding that perfect gown after lusting over the very gorgeous and glamorous designs of Johanna Johnson's Luxor collection.
